ACT NOW…ORDERS BEING TAKEN FOR SEPTEMBER 9TH
GIFT CARD FUNDRAISING PROGRAM
(TO HELP FAMILIES MEET THEIR FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT AND TUITION)
HOW DOES IT WORK:
(THIS IS REALLY VERY SIMPLE….)
Here is a highlight of the basics of the program; for more detailed information please see Gift Card Fundraising Program under Fundraising tab on left.
1. Review the list of gift cards you wish to purchase.
2. Fill out your order form.
3. Attach a check made out to Ct Northern Lights for the amount of your gift cards.
4. Orders will close on Thursday and will be received the following Thursday. Initially we will run orders every other week; schedule will be posted.
5. Your account will be updated electronically throughout the season. Larry Hallisey will receive a monthly statement identifying how much you have profited towards your NLGH account.
6. The proceeds are figured the following way:
a. You pay full price of the gift card
b. The gift cards each have a % of money that comes back to the organization. i.e. Stop & Shop Supermarket is 4%
c. Purchase the denomination of $25.00 or $100.00 and receive 4% back
d. The 4% is split 30% towards NLGH and 70% towards the family’s account.
e. So…… if you spend $200.00 weekly on groceries and used the gift card program throughout the season :
1. 7 months x 4 weeks a month = 28 weeks
2. 28 weeks x $200.00 = $5600.00
3. $5600.00 x 4% = $224.00
4. $224.00 x 70 % = $156.80 towards your NLGH account……JUST FOR BUYING GROCERIES YOU HAVE TO BUY ANYWAYS!!!!!!!
5. The money spent on these gift cards you would have spent anyways on groceries ….why not gets $156.80 back towards your NLGH fundraising amount or your tuition???
6. Many gift cards have higher % give backs, Stop & Shop is one of the lower ones, i.e. Bath and Body Works is 13% and American Eagle is 10%
7. You can use the gift cards for regular day to day living; you can purchase them for gifts and remember the holidays are coming.
8. You can purchase the gift cards for friends in the office and run your own little fundraiser or have family members purchase them through you. (we do need to have a check from the NLGH family not the individual people purchasing)
9. We hope this helps to decrease your financial responsibility toward NLGH through an everyday necessity.
