CT Northern Lights Girls Hockey Foundation Program
The Connecticut Northern Lights Girls Hockey program was the first hockey program in Connecticut to offer girls a fun, encouraging and supportive place to learn the basics of ice hockey in an all girls environment. Today at the Northern Lights we continue to offer the same girl-friendly developmental atmosphere today that we began to offer in 2002.

In the Northern Lights Foundation Program, our goal is to teach girls the fundamentals of ice hockey -- skating, stick-handling, passing, and shooting -- while emphasizing skill development, self-esteem, cooperation, fair play, fitness, safety and, most importantly, fun! We develop the foundation of not only ice hockey skills, but the foundation of self-confidence a girl needs to develop into a successful, self-assured and strong woman.

Based on the tremendous success of the Foundation Program in Simsbury, starting in the 2008-2009 season the Northern Lights Foundation Program expanded into South Windsor Arena and Newington Arena at the request of rink management and parents alike. Due to the success of the program last year, we will continue to offer our Learn to Skate prgrom at all locations for the 2009 - 2010 season.  If ice hockey was too far from home before, Northern Lights brings the program to you. Now your daughter can participate in a sport she will grow to love with only a short drive from home to the rink. Give your daughter the chance to learn to play ice hockey and she will develop skills she will employ for a lifetime both on and off the ice.
